Hot Dip Galvanized (GI)

Hot-dip galvanized steel, or galvanized steel, is a specialized type of steel coated with a layer of zinc. This protective layer is achieved by immersing the steel into a bath of 99% zinc concentration and subjecting it to a high-temperature environment, typically at 460°C or 860°F. This process ensures the strong adherence of the galvanized coating to the surface of the carbon steel.

The primary advantage of galvanized steel lies in its exceptional resistance to rust and corrosion. Regardless of weather conditions, this steel variant remains impervious to damage, thanks to its thick plating layer, which makes rust formation a formidable challenge. Consequently, it's an ideal choice for outdoor applications such as flag poles and street lamp poles, as it boasts an extended service life compared to other galvanized steel types. Moreover, its robust structural properties make it suitable for water pipe installations, as it can withstand substantial weight and pressure with ease.
